Moorestown H&S Scholarships for graduating MHS seniors

Graduating Moorestown High School Seniors

Moorestown Home & School is proud to choose up to five MHS graduating seniors each year to receive a $1,000 scholarship towards their higher eduction.  â€‹

 

We will also choose one MHS graduating senior for the Clark Bucko Memorial Scholarship which will be $1,500 towards their education. The Clark Bucko Memorial Scholarship was created in 2001 by Dr. Richard Bucko, a former Principal of Baker Elementary School. It was designed to reward a student with a love of literature.

Eligibility requirements:​

​

  • Family is a current member of Moorestown Home and School Association

  • Graduating Moorestown High School senior

  • Attending post graduate education (college/university/trade school/etc)

  • Provide a completed application following the instructions provided and submitted before the application window closes.

Selection process:

​

  • A scholarship chair is voted on each spring and chooses a committee that will review and vote on applications.  Voting committee members are not associated with individuals in the MHS senior class.

  • Only one member of the Board of Trustees has access to the application data with identifying information.  This individual is not permitted to be a member of the scholarship committee.

  • Each applicant is assigned a number.  All identifying information (name/address/parent information) is removed from the application.  The redacted application is sent to the committee when the application window closes.

  • Once applicants are chosen, names are provided to MHS for distribution during Senior Recognition Night on June 10, 2025.
