Red Cross Blood Drive

As Hurricane Helene has brought widespread, life-threatening storm surges, flooding and high winds throughout the Southeast, dozens of American Red Cross blood drives have been canceled so far, impacting nearly 1,000 blood and platelet donations. We need unaffected areas to give blood!

 

Where: Lenola Volunteer Fire Company, 229 N Lenola Road, Moorestown

When: Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm

 

Please call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter: LVFCM for the Sponsor Code to schedule an appointment or call Jamie Boren at 856-234-1222.

 

Moorestown Annual Costume Swap 10/19 @9:30am-1pm

Donate your child’s old costume and/or pick up a “new” one.  Donation bins are located at the Moorestown Library or you can bring them with you on the 19th.  Costumes are FREE to all!

SPEAC 


SPEAC (Special Education Advisory Council) is a parent-run organization that provides a forum to discuss important challenges facing our children in the Moorestown schools and community, and an off-board committee of Home & School.


Our next meeting is 10/17 6pm at the MHS Star Center If your child has an IEP or 504 plan, we strongly urge you to attend!  


There are positions open for the 2024-2025 school year. Please email moorestownspeac@gmail.com if you are interested in any of these positions:


Co-Chair - The responsibilities are to support the Chair and Executive Board, represent SpEAC at district H and S meetings, keep attendance logs, and track member status in regard to voting. The Co-Chair will assume the role of Chair position in the 2025/2026 School year.


Treasurer - The Treasurer shall keep accurate records of income and expenses; shall present a financial statement at each Executive Board meeting and as requested by the Executive Board


Communications Coordinator - The Communications Coordinator shall maintain and update the SpEAC website; send out all email communication as directed by the Chair; maintain the member email list; maintain and update the SpEAC facebook page and coordinate with the Home and School e-comm chair to publish information regarding monthly meeting and upcoming events.


Roberts Elementary School Representative - The responsibilities are to attend their respective H&S meetings when possible, with an emphasis at the beginning of the school year, to promote any SpEAC campaigns and initiatives, and to represent the needs of all Moorestown children with special learning needs within their designated school.
